Its been a strange week with lots happening but today was another closed day for Mt Hutt due to High Nor-West winds.

At the minute we are getting hit hard by wind and lack of snow but hopefully that changes soon. That didn’t stop us from getting some errands done. Our park crew headed into Ashburton to get a new feature for the park but we are going to keep it quiet for now until we get it up and running then i’ll fill you in =)

God is Good and we know that He provides in times of need. Its just shows us that we are definitely not in control even though we want to be.

Here’s a few pics from today

The storms have been surrounding Mt Hutt over this past week resulting in closed days but at least its snowing up there =)  So yesterday after church a few of us decided to take a trip out to the Penno’s farm (a family from church) and check out where they live and the animals they have. We had a great time and thank you to them for their hospitality.

Last night at Feed we had 38 people with some new faces. Dave was talking all about grace, there were steak dinners, a quiz and much much more. Really great times every sunday night.

Praise to God for the work He is doing in Methven

Quick Update:

Still no snow here in New Zealand which is annoying but hopefully by the end of the week it will start =)

Christchurch is still getting lots of aftershocks so all your thoughts and prayers with the people there. They say the sky from the last few nights is so vibrant due to the dust particals from the Volcano in Chile

Here are some shots from tonight outside my house (all natural, no photoshop)

After much travelling i’m finally back in beautiful New Zealand. Emirates definitely took me on a slight detour to Bangkok and Sydney which now just feels like the norm that i get diverted to lots of random places; but I made it and most importantly my luggage did as well.
Pastor Dave picked me up from Christchurch airport and took me back to Methven where my hometown will be again for the winter. Tonight was the first night back at Feed and we had great numbers for the start of the season. Feed is a church which is aimed at snowboarders and skiers who come into town for the winter - so its food for the stomach and food for the mind as well =)
There is not much snow around here in New Zealand at the moment so hopefully God blesses us soon =)

Now its back to New Zealand to see how God will work in me this time. So excited to be blessed with another opportunity to work and serve in such a beautiful country.

Holy Saturday
This is the last day of the Holy week and it ends the season of Lent.
At this point Jesus has died on the cross however  the chief priests and Pharisees went to Pilate saying “Sir,” they said, “we remember that while he was still alive that deceiver said, ‘After three days I will rise again.’ So give the order for the tomb to be made secure until the third day. Otherwise, his disciples may come and steal the body and tell the people that he has been raised from the dead. This last deception will be worse than the first.”
Pilate told them to take a guard and make the tomb as secure as you know how. So they went and made the tomb secure by putting a seal on the stone and posting the guard.

Holy Thursday (Maundy Thursday)
4 Days had passed since Jesus entered Jerusalem on a donkey and it was time for the passover meal. Jesus sent Peter and John (2 of his disciples) ahead to prepare the meal so they could eat it together. When the time came Jesus and the apostles sat down together at the table.
After the supper together He took some bread and broke it, and gave it to the disciples saying “this is my body which is given for you, do this to remember me.
Jesus took a cup of wine and said “This cup is the new covenant between God and his people - an agreement confirmed with my blood which is poured out as a sacrifice for you.
